Beautiful Violet

Check out this beauty! Oh man she's so sweet. I have gotten to know her really well, too- so fun to hear what she has to say (kids say the greatest things!) and to hear her dreams.
She has become an even more beautiful and talented young lady- and officially a Kindergartner as of a few days ago! Can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for her as she keeps growing- by the looks of it, she could start out by being a GAP Model :)

God Bless YOU, Violet!

So long D60...

I am off to look at new cameras tonight. I have someone who is going to be purchasing my Nikon D60 but before I bittersweetly hand it off, I want my new one in my hand. I have a few in mind but any suggestions?

Baby Feet

I'm so facinated by baby feet and hands... and ears, and noses, and arms, and legs, and everything in between! It's so crazy to me that something can be so tiny! So perfect in every way.

These are baby Wade's cute little toes.

Violet Katherine

I do have many more of her, but this is all I have on this computer (shhhh, I'm blogging at work...). I'll add more of this gorgeous girl later!

Dirty, playful feet- just shows how much fun we were having! My feet were so filthy by the end of the day! :)

Lukas!

I didn't get many of Lukey- #1 I was with the girls most of the day and #2 he's so fast! So darn cute though. He is so much fun to talk with and listen to. We had many "phone" conversations together- he loves the phone and "buttons"..... growing up so fast!
Having a convo with cousin, Scott. Lukey showing his slide skills :)

Another Favorite

Another favorite of Gloria from Memorial Day Weekend.... down by the creek in back of her house. She's so beautiful!

Gloria's New Grin

Check out that new smile she has! I love it. Not to mention how much I really love this photo. Taken at the end of the day (which is why there is a lot of flare from the sun) on Sunday- Memorial Day Weekend.
She (as well as her sister and her brother) could easily be on the cover of just about any magazine. They are blessed with some good genes, I tell ya! As she grows, she becomes even more beautiful- inside and out. It has been really fun to get to know her better from just the few times we've been able to get together lately. She is SO smart and talented- can't wait to see what's in store for her.

God Bless you Gloria Jane!

1st Attempt in Photoshop

I'm no genius in photoshop yet by any means (and what I should be doing is going through photos from this weekend instead!) but I wanted to give it a try and see what I could come up with quick.

This is what I did... it's a photo of the trees in the park as they were blooming a few weeks ago.
It's growing on me... photoshop is my new addiction I think. Now if only I had a faster computer!

Camden 6mo.

I can't believe this little guy is already 6 months old! He was the baby in my cousin's baby shower photos (some of my first posts on my blog) and belongs to my cousin Scott and his wife Lindsay. He's so adorable and has such an alive spirit- so happy and vibrant. I literally have gobs of photos of him but my computer is being super slow (probably time to transfer photos onto disks and get them off my computer!) so I just did a few for now. There are so many cute ones though so I'll try to limit them when I get them done :)

Baby Wade

This is the newest addition on the King side of the fam- Baby Wade. Belongs to my cousin Sara and her husband Ken. He is about 3 1/2 weeks old and couldn't be more precious!

Morning after a storm...

Just thought I'd update with some pics that I took yesterday. Even after a storm, nature is so inspiring and beautiful.

Lord, there is NONE like You! Thank you for your endless grace and mercy.... and for beauty after the storms in our lives.
Will be adding some fun pics I took today with the King side of the family- stay tuned :)

598 of me!

Don't know how accurate this is but I did THIS and found out that there are 598 people with the same name as me in the United States. Thought that was interesting.

AND I did Marlon (my boyfriend) and there is only ONE Marlon Glaspie in the United States. I KNOW HIM! Crazy!

Bikers for Christ

Ok, I can admit that I want absolutely NOTHING to do with a motorcycle. They terrify me.

Completely terrify me.

But after this weekend I have a new appreciation for "bikers" (no that does not mean I want to ride one because I have a new appreciation for people who do).

May 17, 2009 was really special for LIFEPRINT Church. Pastor John took a seat and let Fred Z (founder of Bikers for Christ- started with him and 5 others and now has over 4000 members around the WORLD) do the talking. He shared his incredible story of how Jesus Christ changed his life. He went from a life full of drugs, alcohol, guns, sex, biker gangs, etc.... to a life ministering to the people who wear the same shoes he once did. My favorite line of his message was "I get to reach people who would never listen to a Pastor in a 3 piece suit"- "I get to introduce sinners to Jesus because for some reason church won't accept them for who they are... what they look like... what they do"........ and the worst part of that is that it's true. Church has turned away the mom's who had a child without being married, church has people starring at those with tatoos and piercings, church has told bikers/gang members/drug users/abusers/sinners/etc etc etc that they can't come into the doors of their church. No wonder why we have a problem in this world!

LIFEPRINT Church is a church made to reach people. To introduce them to Jesus Christ. From all walks of life. We are all sinners......... why try to hide it behind pretty clothes and a fake smile?

We all choose a church under a certain "criteria". Don't lie, we do. We look at their reputation in the community, we look at what programs they offer, we check to see if our schedules meet up with the service times, we check to see if they have good music, we make sure our kids will be safe, we look to see if our friends go there, we make sure it is close to where we live. We do. How many churches do you know of that their MAIN goal is to reach others to know Jesus?

That is why I love LIFEPRINT Church. Come as you are...

We had a BBQ after the second service with some awesome fellowship, amazing food, prayer over the bikes, pictures, and ended with a ride. Here are some (SOME) photos I took:

Bikers for Christ logo. There was a lot of that everywhere and on everyone! I had no idea that many people were involved- so cool!

That's Fred Z (the short guy with the long hair) with some bikers from Wisconsin.

The bikers that were at the BBQ and Fred Z taking a couple photos.

I think that is actually Pastor John's bike?

BBQ-er's :)

The smell of leather and exhaust never smelt so sweet as it did on May 17, 2009.........
