Beautiful 5th and 6th Graders

The 5th and 6th graders at Lifeprint Church have their own special get togethers, but this time we sent the boys to do boy things and the girls got to do girly things :)
5 of the girls met at Mickey's house for some yummy food, hair and make up, dress up with some old costumes (and a wedding dress!), and ended with a headshot! It was fun sharing some "beauty secrets" to enhance what God has already blessed them with, as well as hearing what they know and what they wanted to try. Mickey had some jewelry that they used to really glam themselves up! SUCH a fun time!

It amazes me how pure, elegant, raw, precious, and beautiful young girls are. This is about the age that I started to have a difficult time with self esteem and a distorted body image of myself so it was such an honor to be with these girls last night. Putting on make up and getting a big, fancy hair do isn't what beauty is, but it is exciting to see their faces when they look into a mirror for the first time as they see how truly beautiful they are. This isn't an everyday thing that they need to do, but it's amazing what confidence comes out when they really see, and believe, how precious they are. There's just nothing like it! Extremely honored to experience that with these girls last night.
That's her mom's actual wedding dress! How sweet is that??

Bless you all!
