I made this cake because of the flowers I had put together. The pink cake is supposed to be "pinker" which is why the PRE-bought pink candles don't match. Bummer.

I made this cake because of the flowers I had put together. The pink cake is supposed to be "pinker" which is why the PRE-bought pink candles don't match. Bummer.Yes, it bothers me greatly. I'm weird like that.
I also found out I am incapable of tempering chocolate. I wasted 2 bags of white chocolate chips before I quit and settled for just the drizzled chocolate on the top of the cake (not what I had in mind). I tried a double boiler, as well as the microwave. Every time I tried, it got chunky and no longer "spreadable." It was giving my patience a work out, that's for sure (something else I'm incapable of in a lot of circumstances. It's a flaw. I'm aware.).
Other than the chocolate mishap though, it was a fun experience. It tasted wonderful and that's all that matters right? :)
