Last Day...

Today is the last day of Lifeprint's VBS. What an unbelievable time! I had such a fun group of girls, too! Really excited to see what is in store for them down the road as they grow- AND hoping to see more of them at Lifeprint! :)
Each group was a band name- hence our Big Daddy Weave signs. I printed this out as a picture to give to my group as well as a headband that they liked of mine that I wore on Thursday (made it- Amy, like the flower ones that I made for the girls, only a big star). It's a star because we have a "superstar" theme going! Just for fun and something to maybe wear to the Go Fish concert! Which, by the way, is sold out!! Can't wait!!!

Prayers and blessings go out to all of the kids and volunteers on the last day at VBS. Thanks everyone for a GREAT time!! See you at the concert!

New Fave

VBS WEEK. That's all I have to say! I can't believe it's already Wednesday- only 3 more days left! What a powerful experience to be a part of. There is nothing better than a child coming up to you telling you how nice they think you are... or how fun of a "band manager" I am... or how cool Lifeprint is. I even had a little 7 year old girl come up to me and asked me if I'd pray with her because she is having a pretty hard life these days at home. Man, am I feeling the blessings pour out day after day after day being a part of this VBS. It's definitely changing ME from the inside out.

This week is so much more than a trillion hours spent planning details. Bigger than just dressing up everyday and doing ridiculously corny choreographed dance moves to silly GO FISH songs... it's changing a child's life. Showing them Christ in an unbelievable way. Experiencing the Lord in an AWESOME setting at an AMAZING church. I pray that all of the volunteers involved (including myself) this week realize that their time and efforts go so far beyond teaching at a VBS. Gives me chills feeling the presence of the Lord this week- even just writing this! God is too good!

This is totally not related to VBS in any way but I went back to email some friends photographs that I've been meaning to give them weeks ago and stumbled across a new fave... It's fun to see one's I never touched or put on facebook, or blogged, or printed. There are quite a few that are worthy of doing so that I didn't even see! I love the lighting and it kind of gives me the feeling of what I've been experienceing this week. A lot of prayers, a beautiful setting, powerful light, and a God that overtakes all things in a way we can never comprehend. SO amazing.
Hope everyone is having a Spirit filled week! I know I am! And come check out Lifeprint Church this Sunday... all the kids will be singing with Pastor John during Praise and Worship! Should be a fun time :)

They Lost.

Marlon played for the Superior Stampede this year (minus the first few games) and last year.
Last year they were undefeated.
This year, they made it to the "playoff game that would have gotten them to the championship."
The game for "all the marbles"...........It was still fun to watch him play (he's #47). And I promise he's not throwing punches out there- it just appears that way in this one.
He's so cute.
He lives for football. If there is a game on, don't even waste your time trying to get in the way or try to even get a word in.
(because it's literally a waste of your time). Eats, breathes, smells, looks, lives for football.
Take a look at that face.... poor guy. He's never lost. He was a good sport- just had to give him a few minutes :)
(I'm so anti facial hair usually but it's kind of growing on me I guess.... but I didn't say that.)

And with all of these photos, I went out and purchased a Tamron Telephoto AF 70-200mm F/2.8 Macro (mostly because I have a Tamron lens already on my camera and this one was a LOT more affordable than the comparable Nikon lens... anyone familiar? any suggestions?)... you'd think it could get a little closer- although I was restricted to staying up in the bleachers. Pretty disappointed. I would have been happy with a 300mm I'm sure. Not that I shoot fooball games or sports very often, but I'm still trying to decide if it's worth keeping around. I'd love to hear some insight.
